Research suggests that untreated mental illnesses ends up costing more than one may think.  People with untreated mental illnesses often struggle to meet the demands of their lives (jobs, relationships, etc.).  In the Huffington Post, Willa Frej posits that treatments for mental health conditions are cost effective for the global economy.
